Christopher Columbus

The Depot Role

 in a National Cigar Crisis

As soon as the Flor de Las Antillas was named Cigar of the Year by Cigar Aficionado 1 ½ years ago, the Depot immediately ordered it, tested it and publicized it as an “ultra-smooth smoke."  Based on this finding, we stocked up and started moving the sticks in significant quantities .... before most shops even carried the new winning brand.
A little while later Flor de Las Antillas sales boomed nationally to such an extent that its manufacturer, My Father Cigars Co., couldn’t keep up production and stopped all shipping; so, like everyone else, in August we were out of stock.

But the good news is that we are back, and we are once again Hudson Valley's Flor de Las Antillas headquarters!

A Seasonal Treat by Punch

The Punch Rare Corojo is released only once per year based on the tobacco growing season in Nicaragua. Reddish in color and reasonably priced, our chief tobacconist Dave Schulman describes the Rare Corojo as “a mild to medium smoke with an earthy and sweet taste which burns evenly and has a smooth finish”.

End of Summer Sale – Select Candles, Melters and More: 30%-50% Off

Come in soon for the best selection … New fall items are arriving daily!

As part of next month’s celebration of Christopher Columbus’s first voyage the Depot will focus on what he found here in the “New World” – namely tobacco
