DEPOT OWNER THREATENS TO BRING IN TRUMP TO FIRE THE EDITOR
After a mistaken prediction in the last newsletter, the owner of The Depot Cigar & Candle became incensed. Citing the fact that she cannot fire the editor because of his status as her husband, the owner has threatened to ask Donald Trump to campaign in Monroe and take the nasty action while he’s in town.
The problem stems from last month’s announcement that My Father Le Bijou -- the new Cigar of the Year (per Cigar Aficionado) -- is in such demand that it would probably not appear at The Depot until summer.
The Depot owner says that the editor should have understood that, because of now being the undisputed leader among cigar shops west of the Hudson River, The Depot would be granted priority in deliveries of the new smoke.
Anyway, contrary to the editor’s stupid prediction, the newest My Father is here and has already been praised by customers. Shown here is Andy LaDue making one of the first purchases.
Andy, as well as Kenny Batewell and several other customers, have pronounced it a “fantastic smoke”. However, Captain Joe Brown, who makes it a point never to agree with Kenny about anything, called it a “terrible flavor”.
Kenny, who is a Trump supporter, countered that Captain Joe is just in a sour mood because of the prospect of the country switching back to a white President. He also charged that because Joe has recently switched his allegiance from Perdomos to Nubs “his opinion cannot be trusted.”
