Introducing a New Discovery! (with a weird name)
The “Leaf by Oscar” -- taking the cigar world by storm
Invented in Pittsburgh (of all places) and manufactured in Honduras, the new Leaf by Oscar is distinct in looks because each stick is wrapped in tobacco leaves, rather than cellophane, to protect the cigar’s wrapper and binder. Most important, it’s a great smoke!

The Depot carries all four flavors of the new cigar: Maduro, Corojo, Sumatra (flavored) and Connecticut – all in the Toro size. And Since the Depot is probably the first New York shop west of the Hudson to have qualified to carry the Leaf, we have effectively established a low $10.65 price for the area – substantially below JR’s $11.50 price down the road in New Jersey.

Two customers who normally hate each other collaborated to bring the Leaf to the Depot. Shortly after JR introduced the new cigar in its New Jersey shops two months ago, our own pain-in-the-ass Kenny Batewell discovered that it had arrived at a shop in Yonkers, whereupon B-S artist Captain Joe Brown investigated to find the cigar’s origins in Pittsburgh.

After their collaboration on discovering the Leaf, Kenny and Captain Joe reverted to their historic rivalry – this time on politics rather than cigar brands. Kenny follows Bobby Knight’s lead in foolishly backing Trump for President, while Captain Joe follows this editor’s lead by stubbornly backing Obama even though he cannot legally run again.
If you forget Mothers Day you are in danger of being put on a bus leaving town along with Kenny Batewell and Captain Joe Brown!
