The Quesada family is one of the most famous cigar-making families in the World -- with its factory originally in Cuba and now in the Dominican Republic. So it was an unexpected surprise when the Company's General Manager, Patricia Quesada, honored us with a visit a few days ago. Quesada is famous for its Casa Magna brand, which was named "Cigar of the Year" eight years ago AND is featured among the celebrity brands on our top shelf. Quesada also manufactures all of the Nat Sherman cigars, of which we carry three styles.
When they learned of Patricia's visit, different folks had different reactions. Nick Perdomo, founder of Perdomo, stated, "Even though our company has sponsored events with The Depot, apparently I'm not good looking enough to get my photo taken there." Bob Pozsony, whose company supplies The Depot's house brands and who has complained about our low pricing of his cigars in the past, stated, "With this latest insult, I have no incentive to visit The Depot, despite its reputation."
Several customers also had biting comments. Captain Joe Brown, whose job change recently took him out of our market said, "Now that I'm no longer around, the joint needed a replacement personality, and that no-account Kenny Batewell couldn't fill the bill; so Patricia Quesada has my thanks."
