Forget about Cigars (for a moment) –
Sunday is Mother’s Day!!!
Something Different than Flowers ...
Instead of the usual flowers for the special mom(s) in your life, why not give a gift that will last all year? The Depot has the only Aloha Bay Himalayan Salt Lights around the area! Beautiful and calming, salt lights are the perfect enhancement to any style décor. What a gift!

Alternatively, you might wish to consider Northern Lights’ lovely hand-poured scented “globe” candles, Colonial Candle Company’s highly-scented double-wick jar candles (new summer scents are in!) or a pair of Silver Forest earrings. All are of the highest quality and are made in the U.S.A. Whatever you choose, let us wrap your gifts for free!
Punch Again Jumps to the Lead
Ever since its Cuban origin, Punch has been a cigar industry leader and innovator. Now, based in Honduras, the Company has introduced a new cigar – the Signature, a full-bodied smoke with a complex blend of flavors with an Ecuadorian corojo wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and Honduras filler. The Depot carries the new Signature in its smaller Rothschild size (4 ½ inches long), selling for only $6.45.

This comes on top of Punch’s relatively new Rare Corojo, a very rich Ecuadorian smoke with a burgundy wrapper, which has enjoyed great popularity since its introduction. The Depot carries the Rare Corojo in a Magnum 5 ¼ inch size, at a price of $9.60.

In our own tasting competition the Rare Corojo still beat out the Signature.
What Does “Full-Bodied” Mean?
Because so many cigars these days are blends of tobacco, where a cigar is made is no longer very relevant. Traditionally, the Dominican Republic produced mild cigars while Honduras was known for its full-bodied, stronger cigars; however, this has all changed, and cigar manufacturers in these countries and others now use blends of tobacco from any number of nations.

But how is this relevant for a relatively new cigar smoker? The simple answer is not to start out with a strong stick. After you have tried good, but milder cigars, you may then want to experiment with the different flavors that you can enjoy with full-bodied smokes
